About Amanda

Amanda’s inspiration as an educator, instructor, support, guide, and/or caregiver comes in part from her affinity for caring for others, and also from a need she sees in society for connection, community, and curiosity without judgment. She believes that, in so many ways, children can be catalysts and models for all of us, showing us how to be the best humans we can be.

Having grown up in a variety of educational settings (Montessori, Quaker, International charter, and public Magnet programs), and having had a variety of college experiences, she has developed a great appreciation for the variety of ways people can connect and educate others.

Amanda is arriving in this space with former experience as a garden and cooking educator, after-school educator, and activity leader for both young and old folks. She has also more recently taken on a caregiving role for her grandparents, who live at Rose Villa! These experiences have led her to have a particular interest in the intergenerational connection that Rosebud offers. She hopes to support that and see it blossom into something that benefits all of us—the young, the old, and everyone in between.
